Business is family and family is everything. I like to say that I grew up eating, sleeping, and breathing windows. Since I was born, traveling from Youngstown to Michigan to Toledo, my father has owned a window replacement business. Window World had been getting more well-known and this caught my father’s eye. In 2004, we moved back to Youngstown to start our journey with Window World of Youngstown. I was 14 years old at the time and I began working in the warehouse and going to service calls as my summer job. When I was 15 years old, I worked for a couple of different places including concessions stands at local fairs and Inner Circle Pizza. During this time, I also installed windows. After I graduated High School, I attended YSU for a short period of time for computer networking. Giving it a lot of thought, I decided to join the family business to help grow the business. At this point, I was one of our sales representatives for five years. I then managed our Steubenville store for three years.
Towards the end of my management position in Steubenville, I had the pleasure of meeting Ron Emery. As soon as I met Ron, it began a new chapter for my career. Ron had introduced me to the members at Round Table 12. I was definitely leery about the group because I was in a networking group previous to this. Once I learned more about the group’s motives and goals, I was sold. The discussions we have and the help offered by the group are phenomenal. I learned very quickly that no matter what business you own or work for, the issues and solutions are very similar. With the support of Round Table 12, they have helped me to go in the direction of working on the business rather than in the business. I couldn’t be happier with my new family in Round Table 12. Hard-working, intelligent and trustworthy people are hard to find. In my eyes, these three things make up and are the backbone of Round Table 12.
Today, my family now owns seven Window World franchises between Detroit, MI and Pittsburgh, PA and we are nationally the largest exterior remodeling company in the country. I am our regional Sales Manager and part-owner. It has been 16 years already since I have been in the business. As of this year, June 2019, I am newly married to my beautiful wife, Caitlyn, we have two awesome dogs and we are expecting a baby girl as well. Life just keeps getting better!
