In 1999, I started The Agent Insurance out of a 10' x 10' room in the basement of my parents' house. For the first two years, I sold insurance during the day and ran my lawn service at night — that's how I made payroll for my one employee. I had no safety net, just compassion, determination, and a whole lot of grit. Turns out that's enough to build on.
Twenty-plus years later, we're still a local business, and we still run on the same five things: relationship first, do the right thing, experience is everything, be better, and be a serious fun place. Those aren't posters on a wall — they're how we operate. We run the business on EOS, which keeps us honest about getting a little better every quarter, for our clients andfor the people who work here. I'm protective of the folks we insure. I take every policy seriously and protect our clients the way I'd protect my own family.
So — who is "The Agent"? I'm Ron Nanosky, YSU grad, unapologetic Star Wars and Star Trek fan, and a lucky guy married to Kim (a.k.a. Mrs. Agent). We're work hard, play hard people. Kim, our two fur-kids Sky and Ruger, and I load up the Airstream and chase national parks — nature, history, and whatever trail's in front of us. Thanks to Starlink, I can work from anywhere, which means the office follows me to the campsite. That's the dream, and I'm living it.
